3rd Allegro Packets Partner Day in a Baroque Setting

The impressive baroque hall of the Salles de Pologne in downtown Leipzig, where Allegro Packets had invited its partners on May 23 and 24, was filled with a cheerful buzz of participants from eleven countries, including travelers from far away places such as Malaysia, Colombia and South Korea. About 35 participants followed the call to exchange knowledge in a magnificent atmosphere and celebrated with us the third event tailored for resellers. Spirits were high to see some familiar faces and the partner day began with a welcome from our management Katrin Pflugfelder and Klaus Degner.

All participants had the opportunity to choose between two parallel tracks and to get an update either in sales or technology. While the technology track focused in particular on the new features of the latest 4.0 release and a number of live demos, the sales track provided resellers with numerous tips and updates on use cases, scaling, marketing and tenders. Due to the success and the feedback of the last years, the partner day took place on two days for the first time. But before our partners were diving into next day's agenda, a short excursion to the heights of Leipzig and a dinner were in order.

After the formal part of the first day, the visit to Leipzig's only skyscraper, the nearby City Hochhaus, provided for a far-sighted view. Affectionately called "Uniriese" (university giant) by the locals, the viewing platform at a height of 120 meters opens up a perfect view over the city at the river Pleiße. Thanks to the knowledgeable explanations of two city guides, the audience learned one or two exciting anecdotes about the trade fair city and were able to digest the day's information while enjoying a relaxing view over the rooftops. Afterwards, our guests enjoyed delicious local food and drinks at the traditional restaurant Ratskeller, where the evening ended in the relaxed atmosphere of the vaulted cellar of the famous New City Hall.

The second day of the event focused on an intensive exchange between all participants. On top of presentations on successful customer care and specific technical topics such as the configurations of LDAP, ACME or external packet broker time stamps, the agenda left plenty of room for discussions and conversations with each other, which all participants visibly enjoyed and took advantage of. Same  as last year, the catering of the Hotel Michaelis took care of the important physical well-being during the breaks.
