The models 1000/1200/3000/3200 have two on-board SFP ports which are restricted to original Intel modules. We also sell SFP modules which are compatible with these ports.
Allegro Packets allows to use 3rd party vendor modules in its product but Allegro Packets guarantees only warranty and support for transceiver modules sold by Allegro Packets. Any malfunction or configuration issue with 3rd party modules are NOT covered by the warranty status.
Additionally, port extension cards can be ordered for more ports. The models 3300/3500/5550 do not have on-board measurement ports but must be equipped with port extension cards.
 
Those extension cards are not vendor locked so basically any module should work.
