Allegro Network Multimeter Release 4.4
Improved troubleshooting, better analyses, optimized incident feature
The new firmware version 4.4 is available for the Allegro Network Multimeter. This firmware contains numerous improvements and enhancements compared to version 4.3 and can be installed on all devices with support.
Highlights of the New Firmware Release
New Features:
- A new UDP page is available in L4 transport menu:
- There is a UDP overview with global UDP traffic and UDP connections.
- The IP list shows all IPs with UDP traffic.
- The connections list shows all UDP connections.
- A new measurement module for RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service) has been added.
- The ICMP module now also shows statistics for ICMPv6 traffic.
- The application layer protocol from QUIC connections is now shown in the TLS information of connections.
- User authentication for the web interface now also supports RADIUS.
- mTLS authentication can now be used for Kafka incidents channels.
Improvements:
- The incident feature contains several improvements:
- A new SMB version incident has been added that checks for a given SMB version at connection start. Existing legacy SMB v1 incident rules are automatically converted to the new incident rule.
- The syslog output of the regex incident and DNS server error incidents contains the actual regex entry (and not just the line number in regexs with multiple lines) and the DNS transaction ID and query, respectively. The incident subject for regex incidents also contains the regex entry.
- Incident channels can now have a name for easier selection in the rule configuration.
- New incident triggers have been added for TLS handshake time and first data time.
- Test messages can now be sent to incident notification channels.
- The CSV export is available for more modules:
- SMB
- HTTP
- PTP
- TCP
- ARP
