Looking back at the Allegro Packets User Day 2025

Exciting keynotes, open discussions and a touch of spring

What do our users appreciate about us? The proximity to our developers, our support, and our product. This is exactly what makes the Allegro Packets User Day so special. Once a year, we focus on all of this – not only to present the latest developments of the Allegro Network Multimeter, but above all to listen: questions, wishes, and challenges. Because real innovation is created in conversation – with our users, for our users.

Over 50 dedicated participants from the IT industry came together to immerse themselves in the world of troubleshooting, learn about technical innovations, and foster valuable contacts. Between lively conversations and joyful handshakes, our guests looked forward to the event with excitement. For the first time, we also opened the User Day in Leipzig to our international customers: While the first day was traditionally held in German, the second was held entirely in English.

In addition to our guests, we also welcomed spring to Leipzig. The sun shone through the large windows of the Felix Club, the panoramic view of the lively Augustusplatz rounded off the atmosphere and heightened the anticipation of the day ahead.

The program offered a diverse mix of presentations and interactive discussions. Our Head of Product Management Valerio Camarda took the participants on a journey through the milestones of 2024: the release of the Allegro 1010 / 3010 and x210 series as well as the firmware releases 4.2 and 4.3. Our Managing Director Klaus Degner shared a fascinating insight into the prospects of the coming years. And our senior developers Ralf Hoffmann, Martin Weiser and Martin Fesser delivered in-depth technical presentations, discussed new features, including path measurements, TCP statistics and Snort analysis. They also shared their knowledge of how the Allegro Network Multimeter can be used in a variety of scenarios. In addition to the presentations, we invited participants to discuss existing concepts and specific feature requests in feedback rounds. The User Day also provided space for personal discussions: participants had the chance to discuss individual challenges directly with our developers – regardless of whether it was troubleshooting problems in everyday working life or new functions of the latest releases.

After a day full of technical discussions and smoking heads, it was clear that we needed some fresh air. So we set off on a little journey through Leipzig. Past the imposing MDR Tower, the tallest building in the city and known in Leipzig as the Uniriese (Uni Giant) and Weisheitszahn (Wisdom Tooth), we went to the renowned Gewandhaus, home of the world-famous Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra. The path continued to the Moritzbastei – once part of the city fortifications, today a cultural meeting place – before we finally reached the historic Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall), which impressed us with its imposing facade. Our way continued towards the west of Leipzig through the blossoming Clara Zetkin Park, past the Elsterflutbett and ended up at our office on Karl-Heine-Straße at sunset. There we continued to discuss, laugh and talk shop over good food and cool drinks.

The User Day has once again shown how important direct exchange and listening to each other are in a constantly changing industry. We look forward to continuing to work with our users in the coming years to provide inspiration and shape the digital future. In addition to the technical aspects, one thing will be particularly memorable: the atmosphere. For many participants, the Allegro Packets User Day doesn't just feel like a conference, but like a meeting of colleagues and friends. The open exchange, curiosity and joint discussions make the event special every year.

A big thanks to everyone who made this day happen with us! We are already looking forward to seeing you again at the next Allegro Packets User Day.
