Allegro Network Multimeter 1010 and 3010: Portable Powerhouses for Critical Infrastructures

Allegro Packets releases new product generation

Two Powerful Technologies Improve Network Monitoring and Analysis

Leipzig, September 24, 2024 - Leipzig-based network analysis specialist Allegro Packets is introducing a new generation of products: The 1010 / 3010 series serves as an alternative to the Allegro Network Multimeter 1000 / 3000 and is particularly interesting for critical infrastructure.

The advantage of the 1010 / 3010 series is the use of hardware-based time stamps, which enable precise and synchronized time measurement and offer significantly higher accuracy than software-based methods. This is of great importance in areas such as energy management, telecommunications, or finance as processes are precisely coordinated and delays are minimized. Furthermore, it is ensured that time-critical processes run smoothly.

‘With the Allegro Network Multimeter 1010 / 3010, we are setting new standards in terms of precision and reliability. The integration of hardware-based time stamps enables our customers to control critical processes in real time and fulfil the highest security requirements. We are thus laying the foundations for a future-proof infrastructure in times when each and every millisecond counts,’ comments Managing Director Klaus Degner.

The new Allegro 1010/3010 series at a glance:

  • Ethernet ports: Each device is equipped with 2 x SFP28 ports with hardware-based timestamps for 1 / 10 / 25 G links and 3 x 10 / 100 / 1000Base-T ports. The number of ports can be increased by 4 via adding a network expansion card, with expansion capabilities up to 400 Gbit/s.

  • In-Memory database and ring buffer: The in-memory database for processing historical data is 16 GB in the Allegro 1010 and 64 GB in the 3010, and can be expanded to up to 256 GB. The packet ring buffer can have a size of 1 to 29.6 TB, depending on customer requirements, and can also be expanded.

  • Real-time visibility and comprehensive statistics for all connections: The 1010 / 3010 series offers granular visibility and selective packet filtering across L2 to L7. The analysis can be performed in real-time and back-in-time and the GUI provides several detailed statistics on network quality, IPs, MACs, VLANs, multicast, QoS, TCP, TLS, RTP, Profinet, VoIP, HTTP, and much more.

  • Portable powerhouse: With a weight of less than 3 kg and a practical carrying case, the 1010 / 3010 series is the perfect solution for network administrators and technicians working in core networks, data centres or ISP infrastructures.

All details on the new devices can be found in the corresponding data sheet.

The 1010 / 3010 series is now available in the listed variants via the reseller network.
